Technology Trends That Are Going to Change Human Lives For Ever

Whether you like it or not, technology offers brand-new innovations and introduces the latest projects every year. People with the sharpest minds are trying their hand at creating the next course of future technology that will change things up. It can make scientific progress seem, steady and hurtling towards progress.

There are several important things happening right now that can be taken from science-fiction. It can be about robots reading minds, AI that can self-create images, and more. Here are some of the best technological advancements that can make the greatest difference.

Sand Batteries

We think every technology that can make our future better can turn out to be very complicated, but actually, they can be pretty simple. One of the latest and greatest finds of Finnish engineers is to make batteries out of the sand. The engineers piled up something around 100 tons of sand and fit them into a 4 x 7-meter steel container.

Next, the sand was heated up with twin forces of wind and solar energy. The heat generated can then provide warmth to the buildings nearby, not only that energy is then stored for long periods of time. The concept used here is known as resistive heating. This is where the heating of the material is created with the friction of electrical currents. The heat is generated as the electricity is created with the warmed electricity passing through creating energy.

Underwater Gloves

There has been the development of many technologies mimicking the behavior of animals, one such development is octa gloves. The novel creation is credited to the research team at Virginia Tech where the underwater gloves mimic the suction abilities of an octopus. Taking cues from how the octopus’s suckers work.

It activates an attachment to the objects by applying light pressure. The gloves have microsensors that tighten the grip and loosen them as well without having to apply a crushing force. This trait will be beneficial for rescue divers, bridge engineers, underwater archaeologists, and more.

Xenotransplantation

The latest technology involves inserting the heart of a pig beating into the body of a human. The process of transplanting that of implementing tissues and organs of animals into humans can change the landscape of surgery forever. The process has already been utilized twice. While the first patient, unfortunately, had to capitulate, the second patient to undergo this heart procedure is doing well or at least is under observation. But not all humans can undergo the process, every patient has to start with gene-editing first.

It has to be created to cater to the body of humans. This would help in immune acceptance and stop the excessive growth of heart tissue. The safety of these types of surgeries still comes under the scanner, but if it does gain success in the years to come, it can turn out to be a revolutionary procedure.

Brain Reading Technology of Robots

It is no longer just a figment of somebody’s imagination or what you can call a science fiction trope, the technology involving brain reading has been in vogue in recent times. The researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) have put the technology to good use. It involves the technology of a machine-learning algorithm where there is a robot arm along with a brain-computer interface. It can be useful for tetraplegic patients who can’t move the upper or lower body and have trouble interacting with the world.

The robot arm here will come in useful and conduct simple tasks when it moves around an obstacle. The algorithm will interpret the brain signals with the help of a cap. (EEG)It will help figure out whether the object is moving too close or too fast.

With time the algorithm will cater to the individual’s needs and work as per the brain signals. This will be particularly useful in wheelchairs and the robots will read the signals from the brain or assist the machines which will be particularly helpful for patients (tetraplegic). These are the exciting new finds that can make our future better and more streamlined. Technology certainly has the potential to make our life easier and improve the quality of our lives as well. But, it is important that we enhance our lives with it and not become too much dependent on it.
