Jean Smart – 42 lbs, Swimming and Low Fat Diet
Jean Smart is a famous American actress. After beginning her career in regional theater in the Pacific Northwest, she appeared on Broadway as Marlene Dietrich in Piaf in 1981. Smart was later cast in a lead role as Charlene Frazier Stillfield with her friend and co-star Delta Burke as Suzanne Sugarbaker, on the CBS sitcom Designing Women. Designing Women is an American sitcom created by Linda Bloodworth-Thomason. Smart is a diabetic-‘the industrial strength’ variety, as she puts it.
When she got pregnant her doctor told her only one thing, “Diabetes and pregnancy are a volatile combination.” Smart took matters into her own hands and worked out constantly. During her pregnancy, Smart, who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, gained 42 pounds. She lost it fairly easily, as she reported, ‘‘Once I put my mind to it,” by swimming regularly and sticking to a low-fat diet.
